温斯顿与投资者和公司合作,增加对清洁能源的投资和采用。通过他的工作,温斯顿使投资者和公司能够利用他们的领导,倡导清洁能源解决方案,以便电力提供者和政策制定者。Prior to Ceres, Winston worked to educate and mobilize public support to pass major state legislation to promote clean energy and tackle climate change, including California’s second Zero Emissions Vehicles regulations (ZEVII), “Million Solar Roofs Initiative” (SB 1) and “Global Warming Solutions Act" (AB 32). In 2007, Winston moved to New England to spearhead a statewide organizing initiative which succeeded in passing a comprehensive climate bill in Massachusetts. Winston has also worked on and managed several successful state and national political campaigns. Most recently, Winston has worked with several innovative residential energy efficiency and solar companies, helping them apply community organizing and grassroots campaign approaches to growing their business and dramatically increasing customer adoption of clean energy. Winston holds a BA in Politics and Third World Studies from Oberlin College. He now lives in Dorchester where he and his wife are working to turn a 120 year old house into a model of clean energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable urban agriculture.
