James L. Miles Sr.

James L. Miles Sr., Ph.D., is the director of sustainability adoption at Sphinx Enterprises Ltd. His positions over a 20-year span range from U.S. Marine, information systems analyst and corporate manager to chief operating officer and organizational sustainability consultant. His management portfolio has included the design and launch of regional collaboratives, personnel responsibilities for more than 150 employees and budget responsibilities in excess of $ 10 million. He also has successfully led business performance and supplier development projects, faith-based community economic development reorganizations and triple bottom line, sustainability initiatives. His primary objective is to promote and guide the adoption and integration of sustainable (triple bottom line) business growth and enhanced organizational performance. His current research measures organizational culture and the relationship these measurements have to the success of a sustainability program's performance. James' passion is to support the integration of sustainability practices into daily business operations and community life. Additional interests include leadership, human consciousness and innovation.
