Stephanie Ratté

Stephanie Ratté is the Project Coordinator for the Governance of Forests Initiative. She provides support to the project staff and manages communications and outreach for the initiative, as well as grants, contracts, and finances.
Prior to joining WRI, Stephanie worked at Earthjustice, a public interest law organization, where she assisted on a variety of matters, including cases advancing protections for threatened and endangered marine species and challenging mountaintop removal in Appalachia. After college, Stephanie joined a social enterprise start-up working to encourage greater social and environmental responsibility at oil and gas production sites.
Stephanie holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Brown University. Her senior thesis explored the extent to which international and domestic legal mechanisms can promote international corporate environmental responsibility.
Stephanie grew up in Brooklyn, New York and Honolulu, Hawaii. In addition to studying Japanese in college, she grew up speaking Japanese and travels to Tokyo often to visit family.
