Ryan Laemel is an associate in the Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS) where he supports RMI’s cofounder and chief scientist, Amory Lovins, and the OCS team with research, analysis and collaboration.
Ryan Laemel is an associate in the Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS) where he supports RMI’s cofounder and chief scientist, Amory Lovins, and the OCS team with research, analysis and collaboration. Ryan is currently working on the India Mobility Transformation project, an effort to identify and deploy clean, cost-effective mobility solutions in India. Ryan is based in the Basalt office.
Prior to RMI, Ryan worked at Yale University, where he led the design, implementation and evaluation of the world’s first university-based internal carbon pricing program. His professional background is in environmental economics, climate policy and energy efficiency. As a student at Yale, Ryan studied geology and physics, focusing his research on glacial erosion in the Patagonian Andes and captained the men’s cross country team. Ryan joined RMI in November 2016.
