Adam Klauber has over 17 years advancing sustainable transportation. At RMI, his team developed the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) certificate - a climate market instrument similar to the renewable energy credit (REC) - collaborating with the World Economic Forum, PwC and air transport stakeholders across the industry value chain. Adam serves as the RMI technical expert on the SAF corporate procurement group named the Sustainable Aviation Buyers’ Alliance (SABA) partnering with EDF. He also managed The Good Traveler carbon-offset provider and has served as the Principal Investigator for four climate-related projects under the National Academies Transportation Research Board. Prior to RMI, Adam led the sustainable aviation practice for ICF supporting airlines, airports, aerospace manufacturers and the US government. As a presidential management fellow, for the Department of Transportation Volpe Center, he launched the first FAA agency-wide sustainability program serving as the program manager.
